The First Aid Convention of Europe, hosted in 2012 by the Irish Red Cross in Dundalk, is the premier international Red Cross event that brings together Red Cross volunteers from over 24 different European countries each year. Participants at FACE 2012 in Dundalk Ireland have the opportunity to discuss and learn about new skills procedures equipment and life saving techniques through discussions exercises exhibitions and demonstrations by all aspects of Irish emergency services. FACE 2012 will bring together the very best in Red Cross skill and knowledge to compete head to head in a competition of their basic first aid skills and ability to deal with an emergent medical situation, through realistic scenarios and simulated casualties.
