OpenAPC 1.3-1
OpenAPC is an APC (Advanced Process Control) solution that is highly flexible and configurable and covers a wide range of automation, visualization, and process control tasks from home control up to industrial automation. Control applications created with the OpenAPC editor's visual interface can perform several tasks dependent on how the application is configured and used. The application is available for many different platforms, so OpenAPC projects can be switched over to a different platform easily.Changes: This version offers new plug-ins for the USB-UIRT IR transceiver, the GSV2 measuement amplifier, and the JoyWarrior accelerometer.
But the most important new feature is an architectural extension: now plug-ins that access external hardware no longer need to be part of the visualization (the GUI layer) but can be positioned on lower levels directly above the hardware they're controlling. This allows a clearer and more modern structure of OpenAPC projects according to the OSI Layer Reference Model and gives the possibility to collect data from hardware connected to different computers via a network.
