The nicely toned Kate Hudson rode the waves in a banana boat (inset) in Maui, Hawaii this past Sunday with 2-year-old son Ryder.



Kate is set to return to work in October, when she begins shooting the period drama A Dream of Red Mansions.

The 27-year-old star announced she split from Black Crowes rocker hubbie Chris Robinson, 39, about a month ago.
